About Me

Hi, I’m Kayla! I’m a first year PhD student in the Mobile Systems group at the University of Cambridge. With my supervisor, Prof. Cecilia Mascolo, I am investigating using ear-worn sensors (Earables) for mobile health monitoring, with a specific focus on respiratory health. I am a member of Magdalene College and my research is supported by Nokia Bell Labs, the Cambridge Trust and the EPSRC CDT in Sensor Technologies for a Healthy and Sustainable Future.

I did my Master of Research at the University of Cambridge through the EPSRC CDT in Sensor Technologies for a Healthy and Sustainable Future, and have undergraduate degrees in Biomedical Engineering, and Electrical and Information Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.
